About
Hi, I am an aspiring writer who can’t wait to publish her first book/novella’s etc. I have had a short story published by The Weekly News, a couple of short poems in an anthology (Live, Love & Learn) and a couple of short stories published in an anthology by the Ruadh Gleann Writers (Rutherglen Writers), called ‘In Other Words…’
My claim to fame is that I won a signed book by Enid Blyton for winning a Short Story Competition she ran at our primary school. I won first prize at the grand age of 8 years old. My winning story was called ‘The Magic Pen’.
I worked for a Mental Health Organisation for 7 years, then worked in finance for a few years before retraining in Reflexology and Massage in 1993, then restudied Beauty Therapy and do all three now, as well as write. It’s a good balance of interesting work and enjoy it all. I’m fortunate to have some very lovely clients who support me in my writing too. Some of them are more like friends because I’ve known them so long.
I live in Scotland and love it, but wish we had warmer winters its brrr…freezing from October to May – although 2014 has been the mildest winter I can remember, up until a week ago when it went a bit wild. But it’s a beautiful, green country and has some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world – my opinion!
Hope you enjoy my ramblings, leave a comment any time you like – but only if it’s pleasant. Thanks.

Gotta luv Bonnie Scotland, although heard from my dad this morning that it’s a wee bit windy last couple of days, at least in St Andrews.
Thanks for stopping by to check out some posts.

Hi Faraday, good to speak to you again. Was very busy with work, birthdays, studying etc but hope to be posting more regularly now. Loved your post on Dr Brian May, what an incredible, intelligent man. I love anything to do with zodiac, stars, sky – well written. I’ll come over and leave comment ๐ x
